Traveling through Wyoming on route to the Sturgis Motorcyle Rally? Wyoming with its majestic Rocky Mountains and wide-open plains provide stunning scenery for bikers. Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, and Devils Tower National Monument are just a few of the breathtaking sites available to bikers in Wyoming. Each year, hundreds of thousands of motorcyclists are drawn to the Black Hills for the well-known Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and to Wyoming. In order to enjoy all that Wyoming has to offer when you are at Sturgis, motorcyclists must follow Wyoming motorcycle safety laws.
SIOUX FALLS, SD - As part of a comprehensive campaign to promote motorcycle safety and education, Gov. Daugaard joined state secretaries of Tourism and Public Safety on Friday in the launch of a new website, SouthDakotaRides.com.
Women have been an essential part of motorcycling over the years. Amazing women like Dot Robinson who had to fight to be allowed to enter races because "women" were not meant to be competing. Women like Theresa Wallach who became the first woman dispatch rider in the British army, and spent several years in active service during WWII. As of 2008 women accounted for 12.3 percent of registered motorcycle owners in the US and that number is growing exponentially. Women have had to fight over the years to ride motorcycles, contribute in high numbers to various biker charities, lead many of the generous toy rides that take place across the US and therefore deserve a great celebration.
